A 3L Land Stewards Program · Texas Coastal Bend

Don't settle for grunt work. Build a real career.

A structured, hands-on regenerative ranching internship where you won't just be chasing cows — you'll learn the business systems, the management, and the why behind every decision.

"Too many driven young professionals get stuck in internships that are all chores and no curriculum."

You want to dive into the world of agriculture. You're ambitious, you're willing to work, and you're eager to grow. But the typical internship leaves you feeling frustrated and lost — forced into grunt work instead of gaining the real-world skills that will set your career on fire.

We understand. Our leadership team is trained at the Ranching for Profit School, and we've spent over a decade innovating in regenerative ranching practices. We've watched too many bright people settle for unstructured experiences — and we built this program so you don't have to.

About the Program

Structured. Hands-on. Built for the future of agriculture.

The NextGen Ag Stewards Program is a structured internship at 3L Land Stewards on the Texas Coastal Bend. We host serious young professionals for 3 or 6 months of working alongside experienced ranchers who treat teaching as part of the job — not an afterthought.

You'll leave with the hands-on experience, the confidence, and the network you need for a thriving career in regenerative agriculture.

Four Pillars of Stewardship

Steward the resources entrusted to your care.

At its heart, ranching is the stewardship of four resources — animals, land, money, and the most precious resource of all, people. You'll learn to work with each one, and to understand the why behind every decision.

01

Animals: Stockmanship

Learn to work with the natural instincts and herding behavior of cattle to handle them in a way that reduces stress on animals and people. Develop the skills and instincts that will transition cattle work from a chore into a craft.

02

Land: Ecology

Soil, grass, water, wildlife — the land is a living system, and regenerative ranching is the art of working with it. Learn how everything is connected and how to work with mother nature and her natural systems. Plan grazing, and see how every decision shapes the next season and shapes potential improvement of the landscape.

03

Money: Financial Literacy

Ranching is a business. Learn and build a basic understanding of the economics that turns a calling in ranching into a livelihood.

04

People

The most precious resource of any ranch is the people on it — starting with yourself. Work on self-management, team dynamics, and the communication skills that open doors throughout your career.

The Host Ranch

Welcome to 3L Land Stewards.

3L Land Stewards is a working regenerative ranch on the Texas Coastal Bend. We're not a demonstration project — we're a real ranching business that has spent over a decade refining grazing systems, water infrastructure, and the kind of management practices that build healthy land and a healthy bottom line.

When you intern here, you step into that real operation. You see how decisions get made. You watch systems work — and sometimes you watch them break and get fixed. That's where the learning happens.
